Can Ventosa

Claude Bolling's Suite for Flute and Jazz Trio is one of the most interesting classical crossovers in music history, popularized by master flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal along with Bolling himself in the 1970s. In the United States, the The album was nominated for a Grammy in the category of best chamber music performance.

The musicians

For this concert, Miquel Ángel Aguiló composed Tres Inòpies, a work commissioned by the festival and which will be performed as an absolute premiere.

Flute

Héctor Koa

He began his musical studies in Ibiza with the flute teacher Toni Riera and trained between conservatories in Ibiza, Madrid, Manhattan (NY) and Amsterdam, where he obtained his flute degree in 2019. He studied composition, production and jazz, specializing -se in various ethnic instruments. He collaborates with international artists such as Deva Premal & Myths; and is part of the "Heklos" and "Kirtan Ibiza" projects. He is a flautist of the OSCE, a music teacher and has his own recording studio. He recently won the Eight of August 2023 Composition Award.

Piano

Xico Ribas

Ibizan pianist and composer whose work focuses on electronics, experimentation and improvisation. During his years of study, he goes through different phases where he matures as a musician and artist, finishing the Degree in classical piano and the master's degree in improvisation in Barcelona (ESMUC 2017 and 2020) as well as the master's degree in 'Live Electronics' in Amsterdam (CvA, 2022). He currently continues to reside in Holland, where he is a regular in the city's experimental scene and where he has received an artistic residency (Windows of Opportunity) and a foundation (Keep an Eye) in 2023.

Noel Saez

Born in Ibiza in 1997, he began his musical studies at the Municipal School of Santa Eulàlia des Riu. Later, he graduated in the specialty of music teaching from the University from Valencia He continues his higher studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Valencia and currently develops his teaching activity in different societies of the Valencian Community.

Double bass

Salvatore Licitra

Higher degree in interpretation Jazz electric bass and classical interpretation, double bass. Student with M. Giorgi at the Conservatory of Music Santa Cecília in Rome. He has received classes from Edicson Ruiz or Thierry Barbè. He collaborates with classical orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Teatre dell'opera di Roma and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Balearic Islands. He is currently a double bass teacher of the Ibiza Music Board, and a member of the Orchestra and the Ciutat d'Eivissa Symphony Band.

Miquel Àngel Aguiló

Cellist and composer. Musician in Nederland Kamer Orquest, Spanish Baroque Orchestra and Salamanca Baroque Orchestra. From 2019 to 2023 he directed the Ciutat d'Eivissa Symphony Band, where he currently resides. At the same time, he is dedicated to composition, both in the field of soundtracks and in free composition. Goya with Woody & Woody, currently immersed in several compositional projects, does not close doors to new challenges. The films "Un paseo por el Borne" and "Es gegant d'es Vedrà and other fables" are currently awaiting release.
